Who is Michael Addis?

Michael is an accomplished documentary + reality showrunner/director working in TV, film and the Internet.  His debut feature, POOR WHITE TRASH (starring Jaime Pressly and Sean Young) was an underground comedy hit that ended up making three times its budget.   His follow up feature, HECKLER, featured 140 big comedians, sports legends, actors and filmmakers being interviewed about critics.  Both can be seen on Netflix

In TV, Michael showran/directed the pilot, and is an Executive Producer on the hit TruTV show, IMPRACTICAL JOKERS, and two seasons of the BET show HELL DATE.  He also has directed and/or produced on LEWIS BLACK’S ROOT OF ALL EVIL, THE SHOWBIZ SHOW w/DAVID SPADE, EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION, THE NEW TOM GREEN SHOW and REALITY HELL.  He also wrote for THE MAN SHOW.  With his own company, he produced/directed the one-hour stand-up special, JAMIE KENNEDY: UNWASHED, which he sold to Comedy Central to excellent ratings.  

On the Internet, Michael wrote/directed the political comedy series, THE McCAINGELS for ComedyCentral.com and “I LOVE MOVIES” with Doug Benson on Superdeluxe.

Michael has directed several commercials, including campaigns for Toshiba, Doritos, Audi, Costco, Kashi Cereal and Mozilla.    

Michael has also produced series works, such as the documentary, DEATH BY CHINA, about the US economy vis a vis China.
